Sheryl’s Family Law Experience
Sheryl’s practice focuses on assisting expatriate clients who are facing divorce, separation, or parenting issues involving multiple jurisdictions. She regularly advises clients on cross-border jurisdictional strategy, recognition of foreign divorce orders, and the enforcement of international maintenance and custody orders.
Her work also extends to Hague Convention child abduction matters, where she guides clients through the process of seeking the return of children wrongfully removed or retained in Singapore, or assists those responding to such applications.
In financial and property matters, Sheryl works with clients who have assets across several countries, ensuring that settlements are structured to be both practical and legally enforceable.
She understands that every family is different and approaches each case with sensitivity, practicality, and professionalism. Whether a client’s goal is to reach an amicable settlement through mediation or to proceed with formal court action, Sheryl provides clear, honest advice and a structured strategy aligned with their objectives.
Her leadership of the Expat Matters Practice reflects her ability to coordinate resources, collaborate with international partner firms, and ensure that each case is handled efficiently from start to finish. She takes pride in helping clients make informed decisions that prioritise stability and the long-term wellbeing of their families.
